At Deep Creek stables we offer riding lessons starting at age 7 and up. Our main lessons focus on the Basic Western riding style which is most similar to the style used by cowboys and ranchers in rural America. The horse and tack are provided as part of the lesson package.

Lesson Packages

Lessons are $30 per lesson. Beginning riders must purchase an introductory package of 6 lessons for a total of $180. They are small group lessons lasting 1 to 1 ½ hours per week. Groups are formed based on age and riding skill level.

Meet Sandy Tilghman

Sandy Tilghman has 35 years of teaching experience in combined training, Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country, as well as Mounted Games. She works with beginners thru advanced riders, coaching students thru upper level testing and national competitions.
